Position: Assistant Product Manager-Structured Products
Location:
Salary: Base + Commission
The primary responsibility of this role is to market our structured product offering to dealers and potential clients and encourage on-going usage of our platform by existingdDealers and clients. The role will entail on-boarding of new dealers as well as on-going maintenance.
Specifically, the candidate will work together with traders to develop relationships and influence trading behavior. The objective of the role is to educate traders on the system’s capabilities and its ability to help maximize their business so that the traders become increasingly more proactive in using the system. The candidate will work together with dealer sales to educate them on the efficiencies of the system.
By building strong relationships with traders, the candidate will:
- Become the point person for the traders for all trade issues, questions, problems, and suggestions for enhancements;
- Become the point person internally, mobilizing and coordinating efforts around dealer issues among client services, technology, sales, etc.;
- Make recommendations for system enhancements.
He/she will also join the client sales team in marketing our structured product capabilities to the buy-side and will serve as a product expert in this capacity.
Qualifications
The candidate’s background will include:
2 –5 years experience as a trading assistant or a sales assistant, preferably at a broker/dealer or a buy-side firm.
He/she must have strong product knowledge in one of our core products: ABS, CMBS, or RMBS. He/she must have a good understanding of how these products are traded.
The candidate must be technology savvy. Specifically, he/she must have the ability and desire to learn the intricacies of our trading system. He/she should also have strong MS office skills.
