FPGA Development Engineer (We Sponsor Clearances)

Assignment: FPGA DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Special Talents: A digital design engineer is needed to develop digital signal processing FPGA firmware for use in wireless communications systems. Multiple years of experience with the FPGA firmware development process is required, including VHDL code development, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and FPGA verification. Must be proficient in all aspects of FPGA design and verification. Should have in-depth familiarity with Xilinx FPGAs, particularly the Virtex family, and in-depth knowledge of Synplicity, XST, Xilinx ISE, Modelsim, Unix, laboratory test equipment, and source/revision control tools. Must be able to develop implementation architectures from requirements documents or high level specifications. Requires ability to communicate and work with teams on multiple-engineer chip developments. Requires use and maintenance of legacy IP. Requires ability to troubleshoot designs operating within an integrated system. Experience with wireless communications systems, digital signal processing, and/or communication theory is desired. Experience developing software for embedded processors using C/C++ for DSP applications is desired. Experience in the design and debug of complex circuit boards is also desired. Knowledge of Verilog, Matlab, Perl, XST, system C, system Verilog, Altera FPGA device technology, and/or RF system performance analysis is a plus.

Education: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
