Position Description:
Active Secret clearance is required, no exceptions
Individual will join a human-system collaboration team for a variety of applications including the design and development of context-aware and adaptive displays, interactive visualization systems, intelligent systems, and tangible and immersive technologies. Domains will include soldier systems, visualization of large data sets to find trends and test hypotheses, planning and control of unmanned systems, and geospatial analysis.
Candidate will be involved in conducting user studies, designing mock-ups, developing rapid prototypes, conducting trade analysis to determine the proper allocation of tasks between human and machine, and developing models of workflow, tasking and cognition. A good working knowledge of contextual inquiry methods, design principles and methods, interaction techniques , and human decision making and behavior is desirable.
Experience in cognitive modeling, Matlab, Flash, Java, or C# are a plus. The individual should be a highly motivated, self-starter with a willingness to learn and participate in an exciting team environment.
M.S. or Ph.D. and recent graduate with training in cognitive engineering, human-computer interaction, computer science, or human factors engineering.
