JOB TITLE: Signal Processing Engineer

Position Description:
TS clearance is required, with ability to qualify for TS/SCI clearance.
The candidate will assume a lead role in efforts in the development of real-time, highly reliable signal processing system. The candidate should have an understanding of all aspects of software system development - software system architecture, software design and testing, COTS hardware integration. Activities will span the entire software life cycle from requirements definition through final testing as well as detailed research in specific areas. Individual will be leading one or more small teams and is expected to work independently with minimum supervision.
The individual will be responsible for software architecture development, software development and testing. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for project planning, tracking and oversight. He/she will be expected to maintain state-of-the-art technical expertise in software engineering. This position shall include collaborating with other technical and program areas within and outside the Laboratory.
Skills: Familiarity with several of the following languages and tools: High throughput computing , real-time programming, and real-time streaming data, C#, C/C++, Java, Javascript, PGP, MATLAB, Linux,.NET, Beowulf cluster architectures, X-Midas, UML modeling.
B.S. degree and (preferably) 10+ years of experience working the domain. Interest in working in an R&D environment. Knowledge and experience in the design, coding and testing of complex dynamic systems is preferred. Desire to innovate sw system solutions leveraging all of the above working with customers and technologists alike.
Familiarity with CMM-Level 3 software development process is also preferred. Excellent communication skills. Prior project leadership experience would also be a plus.
TS clearance is required, with ability to qualify for TS/SCI clearance.
