JOB TITLE: System Development Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assignment:
A system development engineer is needed to participate in all aspects of development and analysis of electro-optical systems. The work will involve participating in design, planning, implementation, and development of real-time and near-real time system software, including data analysis.
Special Talents:
· MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
· Candidate should have 10 years of experience in real-time data acquisition and control system development and implementation in a team environment.
· Candidate must be familiar with control theory, digital signal processing, and statistical data analysis.
· Familiarity with electro-optical systems, the principles of image processing, astrodynamics, and data reduction are strongly desired.
· Hands-on experience programming with VME/VxWorks and Linux are required.
· The candidate should have excellent software skills.
· Fluency in C and C++ is required and Perl, Java, Mat lab, etc, is strongly desired.
· Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team are required.
