Brief Posting Description
Process engineers are technical professionals who develop or improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and boosts profits of an organization in the manufacturing sector. They are responsible for providing the overall process design and suggest measures for improvement of manufacturing, thereby increasing productivity and improving manufacturing costs.
Detailed Posting Description
Primary responsibilities include:
· Influencing product designs to insure economical manufacture
· Developing improved manufacturing and testing processes that are necessary to achieve the performance and cost requirements of future device applications
· Debugging & qualifying high volume assembly/test equipment
· Participating in advanced quality planning activities
· Facilitating the successful launch of new products
· Transferring knowledge to make site personnel
· Support improvement projects to reduce cycle time, defects and manufacturing cost
· Setting up sample lines and process development equipment
· Working with suppliers and contract manufacturers to insure processes are capable, have sufficient controls in place, can meet our delivery requirements, and meet our cost targets
Job Requirements
BSME/BSEE degree required as a minimum

· Engineering aptitude to participate in design reviews and assist during debug & qualification
· Ability to identifying & correct problems by utilization of root cause problem solving skills and experimental methods such as DOE
· Functional understanding of advanced quality planning tools including FMEA, Control plans, to meet TS16949 requirements
· Experience with manufacturing processes such as SMT, thick film processing, MEMS, wire-bonding, dispensing, laser welding, soldering, electrical testing, etc. is desired but not mandatory
· Experience with high volume, high quality manufacturing is preferred vs. batch process or very low volume manufacturing environments
· Experience with automotive OEM’s and/or Tier 1 suppliers is also a plus
· Willingness to travel internationally to assist the global team and work with our suppliers as needed is a must
